Port Said

Tisha @ Helnan Hotel Reception

View from our room
Some part of town seen from our room

Canal Cruise..

We went to Port Said last weekend....a city of northeast Egypt on the Mediterranean Sea at the northern entrance to the Suez Canal about 220 km from Cairo. Thought wanna have some quality time just the 3 of us... but so sad daddy didnt manage to sleep the 2 straight nites. Poor my darling, actually he forseen this, he was like hinting me...a nite before we travelled, something big happen at the office if we could not make it this week, next week we'll go...but when he called his colleagues and teammates to alert them, nobody response...or even answer his call....no surprise this is Egypt! So we still packed up and go...after arrived Port Said, check in the Hotel, manage to have lunch a lil stroll & dip in the Med Sea... his phone started to ring non stop...there goes our holiday! This Helnan Hotel only provide wireles internet at the coffee house not in the room..so that's where my hubby are during the whole 2 days.... we almost need to head home for emergency meeting... So it was only me & Tisha in the room...:(

Btw, nothing much to do in Port Said, it's a duty free town...but stop imagining Dubai or even Langkawi and such... this town full of goods from China & Indonesia... which can easily found in our Night Market back home...but been describe by the locals here...as shopping heaven...*sigh* and dont have to come this far to buy printed batik caftan! i
I found one duty free shop selling their good in USD, there're some perfumes, samsonite bag & electrical items... but when we point out what we want...they dont have any stock left ...sad..but then again..its Egypt...its happens all the time! So i keep on telling ,myself....who know whether its genuine...?!

Another sad thing... we're soo wanted to go for a Canal Cruise... but only to know that, that day the 'ferry' being taken somewhere for service! So sad we really wanted to see... the huge vessel entering Suez Canal..

Oh yeah, one thing good about Port Said ... their seafoods...fresh & cheap... we really had a good eats there...if we ever return to Port Said it'll be absolutely for their seafood! I would strongly...recommend..El Borg Seafood... the foods are fresh & good...services are high class which very very very hard to find here in Egypt (their waiters in El Borg are 100 times better than waiters in this so called 5 Star Helnan Hotel) and of course the food are cheap.

On our way back to Cairo, we had a pit stop in Ismailia...my dear hubby still wanna catch a glimpse of a vessel passing thru Suez Canal.... We had a stop and this jetty where u can cross over to Sinai, the policemen let us stand by the canal to watch it.... however no photo please he said...that's ok for us! Well it was such an experience to see a huge vessel passing thru this such a small narrow canal ... Tish said cool! hehehe. My dear hubby make a pledge...will go back there to Ismailia again...to see all this vessel...and canal again! Maybe he should be a Ship Captain rather than Network Consultant...

Safeia is Reena's dearly cute princess, she's 2 months younger than Tish... she's very friendly&bubbly, her mom call her bubbles...how cute! Last nite and this morning, Tish non stop talking about Safeia.. she was like "Play Fiya", "Lets go Fiya" then said "Fiya go home".... owwwhhh

The Shahrizal's In Da House!

The moment we arrived The Pyramids, i got a phone call fron Reena says that she's coming over after Shahrizal is back from office... well that sound nice, its just that i dont have time to prepare anyting homemade.. After Pyramids we headed to HyperOne for some groceries shopping and food, back home had a quick shower then The Shahrizal's arrived!

Sorry guys, glad to have you guys over but so sorry for the only tapau food for dinner. Anyway, the ever sweet Reena brought some fried noodles & pengat pisang! So yummy from the yummy mummy! The kids had fun.. the two daddy had a good chat...and the mommies are happy! Personally its perfect fun day for me!

The Great Pyramids of Giza

Finally..we went 2 The Pyramids today.... not Sunway Pyramids absolutely, but The Great Pyramids of Giza! Its was a wonderful experience. After 9 months we're in Cairo, our apartments like 10 mins away from Giza town, infact our previous apartment's guest room in City View, overlooking The Pyramids ...how exotic... and finally yesterday 5 Aril 2008...The Adams visit The Pyramids. Tish had fun as well...she enjoyed the horse ride but scared to go on the camel, daddy did get on the camel for some photo shoots and Tish was busy chasing the pigeons... we all had fun i could say.

Anyway, I wonder why Sunway Group build this so called Sunway Pyramid back home! Sphinx in Malaysia in a ways to attract the Arabs tourists? Not my kind of idea! Do you want to see Petronas Twin Tower or Penang Bridge when you are travelling overseas? I dont know,as for me, i would like to see something different... i dont wanna see same kinda of stuff at every new place i go... Well may be Machu Piccu or Taj Mahal some day soon...inya allah... who knows!

Tish Going To School

This is the old entry, which is fail to be published so many times... The one Tish, in denim jacket was her 1st day in school, a bit clingy to the teacher dont really want to seat with the rest of her classmate, her nose still runny, she was having a fever a day before. On that day, she reached home from school, drink a few cups of milk, eat and eat and eat, sleep by 6pm up to the next day 7 am.... pity my poor baby.

The one Tish in the pink dress, after 3 weeks in school, no more tired, she'll have nap in school whenever she wants to... she finished her lunch with her friends... started to play with them but still hates her music class! But come back home she still have energy to play and watch some of her favourite tv programme ..before hit the sack by 9pm. Nowadays she'll be awake by 8am, eat her breakfast... hit the shower ... see how she had daddy's watch on her and put her small Barney in the pink handbag... and ready for school.

Buffet Lunch @4 Seasons,Garden City,Cairo

Dont know what to do on Egyptian Mother's Day 2 weeks ago, we head for a chinese food in Four Seasons, recommended by Reena for Dim Sum buffet and such. Well we're lucky that day they had a promo for 250 L.E we get to eat at 4 restaurants Spice the Chinese Rest, Aqua the Sushi Bar, Steaks of course a steak house and Lebanese Rest. Well, Sushi after dim sum was ok, some space for steak and we dont even have heart to check out the Labnese Rest upstairs...way way too full and i should say we're not in the mood for middle eastern food that day. Reeena we're satisfied with everything there, from the services to the food. Thanks Reena, will definitely go there again.

California Rolls, Anyone?

Tisha love this, anyway she hates the nori, she was struggling for the tuna in the center, eat up all the sushi rice and discard the nori.... cute but messy.
